Thanks to the KRVHS for acknowledging this BIG part of Kern Canyon's history with this small, but powerful presentation for the legacy of Southern Sierra rock climbing in perpetuity. Hopefully, it will be something that all of you who have climbed in the Kern Canyon area will appreciate and be proud of, because there ain't nuthin' anywhere else like it! On Saturday, August 31st @ 3pm: will be the official reception for the Kern River Valley Historical Society's Interpretive Rock Climbing Display.
The display consists of a digital interpretive display that showcases a tribute to some of the pioneers of rock climbs in the Southern Sierra, interpretive slides about climbing, and a beautiful video loop sampling of Kern Canyon rock climbing. There is physical interpretive climbing gear display as well.
